Eu estava pensando se alguém poderia ajudar com o seguinte:-

Estou tentando entender o conceito de principais estresses em termos de mecânica do solo.

I have a solo element being loaded by 25kN. I'm trying to draw all the stresses that the soil element experiences.

I've attach a drawing of my solo element, the part I can't get my head round is the last cube I have from an online source that shows the Main emphasizes 13, it would be correct to say that:-

Sigma1 = 25kN stress value acting down and up
Sigma3 = ?????? You have no idea where that comes from?

Any ideas?
